Kularb Jesadawal worked at a bank and cooked for her family and friends. They kept telling her to open a restaurant. In 1994 she did, and Raya was born, serving the food her own family ate at home.จากอดีตพนักงานธนาคาร ป้ากุหลาบ เจษฎาวัลย์ ทำอาหารให้เพื่อน ๆ รับประทาน จากเสียงเชียร์เรียกร้องให้เปิดร้าน และด้วยแรงใจของทุกคน ปี 2537 จึงเกิด “ระย้า” ที่มีอาหารแสนอร่อยของครอบครัว

Raya is in a two-storey building, half shop and half home, built in the Sino-Portuguese style more than a hundred years ago. A row of arched openings runs along the ground floor.
